It is almost Easter, and we are at the the end of sugaring season, and at the beginning of a beautiful time of transition on the farm.

Easter is a time of renewal and rebirth, as is Spring on the farm.

 This Easter marks the first date that we can expect to see new, fluffy, sweet little lambs, sproinking around after their proud mommas. It is always such an exciting and exhausting time!

Soon, the buds on the trees will begin to swell and the sap will go “buddy”, like spoiled milk. Sugaring will come to an abrupt end, but Spring will have sprung!

There will be boot sucking mud and  the promise of green pastures again…again, as it is every year. Like Easter. Rebirth. Renewal. Rejoice.
