Icelandic /Gotland Wool Yarn
Our Icelandic/ Gotland yarns are a fantastic mix of the best of both breeds. Icelandic wool is lofty and quite weather resistant. Gotland wool is silky with a wonderful luster. The yarn from this cross is so versatile and lovely to work with. Great for warm winter sweaters and knit jackets, hats, scarves, mittens, blankets and throws. Both of these sheep breeds’ wool is great for felting , as well. I love knitting mittens in a larger size and then felting them to make a strong and nearly waterproof pair of ” Fishermen’s mittens”. This yarn is a 3-ply bulky weight. 210 yds in a lovely shade of gray – 8.6oz of beautiful wool! -

This is a gorgeous sheepskin with a long staple and lots of curls. It measures approximately 39″X29 on the backside. 6-7 inch staple makes it thick and plush. It would be stunning draped over a sofa or large chair, in front of a coffee table or at the bottom of the bed.
