The Vermont Farm Table Cookbook, by Tracey Medeiros, contains 150 delicious, farm-based and Vermont-inspired recipes. This book is an amazing gastronomic view of the Green Mountain State. We are honored to have three recipes from High Ridge Meadows Farm featured in the book.
In the author’s own words…”My second cookbook, The Vermont Farm Table Cookbook, is a culinary tribute to Vermont’s farmers, farms, food producers and chefs. The Vermont Farm Table Cookbook promotes the farm to table movement and the value of buying local. It emphasizes the fact that by spending local dollars, for local products, we help to ensure the economic health of our agricultural community thereby, sustaining local businesses, farmers, and the environment.”

This 3-ply yarn is from two of our most beautiful lambs born last year, Yrsa and Wee Dram. The color is a dark, rich, charcoal gray. This is an Aran weight yarn that works up quickly and is super warm. We shear our sheep in the spring, and in the fall as they come off pasture. In the fall, the wool from the lambs is usually their first shearing and very soft. These two lambs are Icelandic/ Gotland crosses and have fabulous long, curly coats. Hats , mittens, scarves, sweaters…would all be lovely using this yarn.
